The island and the eco-lodge

Ankazoberavina nel MadagascarA paradise of Eco-tourism in Madagascar, Ankazoberavina, which in Malgash means “island of trees with big leaves” is the name of this small island (14 hectares) located 18 miles away from the island of Nosy Be.

Ankazoberavina, together with the nearby uninhabited island of Antsoha and the needles of Ankivonjy, form one of Madagascar’s unique natural flora and fauna protected zones, watched over and controlled by the company Nature Sauvage, who also own and run the Eco-Village holiday resort of Ankazoberavina.

Visitors to Ankazoberavina on arrival can enjoy the panorama of the island’s bays and coves – from the circular bay of mangroves to the beaches of golden sand or black pebbles glistening in the sun. What remains barely visible is the tourist village of eight bungalows, built in Malgash style and hidden from view by coconut palms and lush vegetation, created for the discerning tourist in search of relaxation immersed in unspoilt natural surroundings, where preservation remains a key driver.

The crystal clear waters of the sea, the thick unspoiled forest inhabited by lemurs, flying foxes and chameleons and the uncontaminated surroundings make Ankazoberavina a magical and exclusive place to spend your holidays.
